Why any organization needs a good PR team.
Especially churches, even if it is just for a shot period of time. Background- The denomination I am currently employed by is splitting. This week, the new denomination is forming, and as any good group run by old people would do, they got trendy. When is that ever a good idea for a church, let alone an entire denomination? I often drive by the “Grace Place” with it’s 70’s...

Father, if even the king of Ninevah turned to you with Jonah’s half-assed prophetics, what, then, could you do with a sincere me? But… could you be a little more clear on where to go?

Saw this while browsing around some online shopping. One more reason to be in love with Patagonia.  minimalmac: Nothing about the Mac. Everything about what we believe in.

Christian Art
This has been brewing… but I have so much I want to spew about it I can only say this for now: Firstly, this blog hits some points home simply and straight-forward-ly. Secondly, a question. How does the Church (universal, big C) regain any dignity in the world of art? Why are good Christian artists an extreme minority? How can a people that serve a Creator avoid/ignore creativity?

To tumblr or not to tumblr?
I am DETERMINED to start what I am calling a “creative life blog.” Including craftiness, thriftiness, inovativeness, photographyness, artsiness, and probably some fashiony-ness too.  Which do you think is a better idea, use Tumblr or another “normal” blog site, such as Blogspot? And why?

Confessions of a best-friendless wife
I am pretty glad I am done with the dating world… it’s a messy game. Unfortuantely, I am realizing that for me, friend making is far too similar. Some recent thoughts after getting a friend request/message about exchanging phone numbers because we should hang out: “She thought I was that much fun? She wants to intentionally hang out more? I am not nearly as cool one on one,...

a formerly unfemenin femenist.
After ordering some more eye-liner from my Mary Kay lady a couple weeks ago and going on an intentional shopping trip this past week, (and buying the shortest shorts I’ve worn in years. Don’t worry, they still go past my fingertips…) I did some self-reflecting on my recent trend toward being feminine, and besides the inspiration of of this lovely lady, I have come to 3 theories: ...
